Dear Pirate Nation Families,
In order to provide our special needs students with the required specialized instruction and services, the Pleasant Hope R-VI School Board has voted to rejoin as a member of the Exceptional Pupil Cooperative in Bolivar, MO beginning at the start of the 2023-2024 school year. Please see the attached letter for more information.
It was an amazing night of basketball tonight! Our Lady Pirates were on fire from the start & came away with the victory over S of O. Jaylin Miner scored her 1,000th career point as well!
Our boys also took on S of O and dominated from the start, winning 57-34.

Senior Composites on Friday for HS Seated and HS Virtual Students
ATTENTION: Senior Composites will be taken on Friday, December 9. We will begin picture taking at 11:00am and continue until 2:00pm. Students will be provided with a black tux top or black drape in order for students to look uniform in the picture. Please consider this when deciding what to wear. The Varsity Boys Basketball team will be back in action tonight at the Morrisville Tournament. They will play Walnut Grove. Tip-off is set for 6:15. Good luck to the Pirates!
Students in Mr. Keller's American Government class met with county government officials during their November 30 field trip to the Polk County Courthouse in Bolivar. Students learned about the functions and services provided by their local county government.

Congrats to our young writers club! Natalie won the bill of rights essay contest and the other students will have their work published in a young writers National book. Way to go pirate scholars!
The Varsity Girls and Varsity Boys Basketball teams will both play in tournaments again this week. The girls will travel to Everton and the boys will travel to Morrisville. Each team will open on Tuesday (Nov 29th) evening. Both teams went 2-1 in tournament play last week. Good luck to the Pirates and Lady Pirates this week!
HS Boys Basketball beat Everton 56-18. They will now play Wed night at 5:30 for 5th place in the Verona Tournament.
