PHHS Families,
Final exams are scheduled for December 19th & 20th (PHHS will have a modified schedule on these days to allow plenty of time for students to complete their final exams). Students are exempt from taking their final if they have an 80% or higher in the class AND have at least 98% attendance; these students will receive a letter with a list of exempted finals.
Students who are exempt from taking a final or finals will have the opportunity to participate in various activities during their exempted time, which may include sports competitions, board games, snacks, movies, study rooms, etc. Students who choose not to attend school will be counted absent during their final exemption time(s).
We understand this is a different process from previous years, but it is necessary to remain ethical. We welcome your ideas and questions; please contact Dr. Baker at the High School or via email at dbaker@phr6.org
The finals exemption letter and permission slip with the above information will be sent home with students next week; students who are exempt from finals are required to turn in the permission slip.
Thank you for your understanding and for trusting me with the care and education of your students!
Respectfully,
Dr. David Baker

PHMS staff of the month: Pam F.
PHMS student of the month: Emri Myers
Thanks for being awesome!!!
