
Household applications are now open to families for DESE's Close the Gap Grant.
To be eligible for the grant, students must be a Missouri resident and be enrolled in grades K-12 in a Missouri public school district or charter school. Per state statute, the distribution of funds will be prioritized for families whose income is below 185 percent of the federal poverty level. If sufficient funds are available after those below 185 percent of the federal poverty level receive funds, families at or above that poverty level may receive funds.

Allowable educational expenses include
Computer equipment;
Internet connectivity;

Course fees and textbooks;
Online access for an academic app or subscription;
Education, learning, or study skills services;
Arts-related day or summer camps; and
Art enrichment.

September Student and Staff of the Month



Fifth and sixth graders spend the day at Dogwood Canyon on Friday! They enjoyed the treehouse, explored the museum, hiked a trail, and participated in an EdVenture where they used aquatic invertebrates to determine stream quality.











In Science this week we learned about the Scientific Method. The students practiced their knew knowledge with a Skittles Investigation.






PHHS Football vs. Carthage JV





Mr. Keller's American History classes studied the causes and effects that led to the American Revolution, Sept. 12-15. Among the events they studied was the infamous Boston Tea Party of 1773. They concluded their study with a test and a commemorative tea party Sept. 15.





The Middle School Volleyball match with Greenfield scheduled for Monday, 9/18 is canceled. The JV Football game and the Varsity Volleyball match will still be played.

Due to a transportation change for Carthage, Monday night's JV football game has been moved from 6 pm to 4 pm. Please note: game start time will be 4 pm on Monday 9/18.

Don't forget that kiddie cheer camp forms are due today along with the registration fee! Please turn them in with your building secretary.
