PHMS had our MAP Assembly today. The PHMS Band played and we celebrated past growth and proficient/advanced scores on MAP tests in ELA, Math, and Science. Many students came home with gift cards and Pirate Gear today. Every student has a chance to win something during our testing week of April 22-26. Hoverboards, tents, wireless earbuds, wireless headphones, and wireless speakers will be raffled off for those demonstrating 100% effort, positive attitude, and respectful behaviors during testing. Students and teachers with perfect attendance will be awarded an Ice Cream Sundae Bar the week following testing. Help us have an outstanding MAP week! All our teachers and students have been working hard and showing a lot of growth this year and are very confident PHMS will have great success!
PHMS Morning/Breakfast Study Hall from 7:25-7:50 begins tomorrow for students needing extra time to complete online assignments including iXL. Due to the busy Spring Sports Schedules, the teachers are offering extra time each day for our student athletes and any students needing additonal time with a device to complete work. Please encourage your student to attend these extra sessions if and when needed.
The Middle School Lady Pirates played their hearts out at their softball game against Sarcoxie tonight with the first game score of 4-7 and the second game score of 5-10. Go Pirates!
HS track meet at Ash Grove Friday night. Congratulations: James moody 1st shot and 1st disc, Ryder LaBee 2nd high jump, DJ Voyles 3rd 200 meter, Lexi Perryman 2nd Javelin, Annabelle Fitzlqff 3rd Pole Vault, and Graci Wolf 2nd high jump. Next HS meet at Skyline Wednesday.
High School Softball @ Conway 4/8/2024. Game time has been moved to 4:30. Middle School Softball will play after the High School game.

The annual Pleasant Hope Grand Slam Softball Tournament scheduled for April 12-13 has been cancelled.
8th grade students test their insulating devices to determine which design retained the most thermal energy.
The Lady Pirates lost a hard fought game tonight. 1-0 to the Sarcoxie Lady Bears.
Come out Saturday and enjoy some alumni basketball at 5pm at PHMS! Pleasant Hope FFA is sending several FFA members to Washington DC this summer and all proceeds will benefit their expenses! We will have concessions available. Admission will be $1 for children and $3 for adults. Face painting and tattoos will be in the cafeteria as well!
MS track competed at Skyline Wednesday night. It was a long, cold, windy night but they did great! Jack and Finley earned 2nd and 3rd place medals in the mile and 800. Natalie got 3rd in shot put. Many others got their very best times and throws and were in the top 10 of their event. It was just the first meet of the year. We are so proud of our team!

Due to a lack of available umpires, Middle School Baseball at Stockton scheduled for Thursday, 4/4 will now be played on Friday, 4/5.
Another cold wet high school track meet at Stockton Tuesday night. Congratulations to our medals: Ryder LaBee 2nd place high jump, Graci Wolf 1st place 100 meter, 2nd place 200 meter, 2nd place high jump Makayla Knox 3rd place 3200 meter, and Larrissa Corter 3rd place Disc.
Varsity Baseball and MS softball scheduled for today have been postponed.
Varsity Softball scheduled for today will now be played on Wednesday, 4/3 at 5 pm.
Varsity Track will travel to Stockton today for a track meet.
