From Mr. Lankford: Students, if you are wanting to take an online dual credit class for fall 2020 you will need to complete the registration form for the college you are taking the credit through before classes start in fall of 2020. Previously our school year started a week or two before the registration deadline but this year public schools are starting after the registration deadline. If you wait until we come to school to register it will be too late. In google classrooms class of 2021 and 2022 I have provided instructions on how to sign up for online dual credit classes through OTC. The registration process this year is completely online, there will be no registration forms to fill out and return to me. I have also attached the online dual credit class descriptions in google classroom. OTC has a priority deadline of April 14th. The absolute final deadline is August 19th 2020, the later you wait the greater a chance that the class you want may be full. I will provide instructions on how to enroll for classes through MSSU, Evangel, and Drury in a separate post later. Students if you are not a member of your graduating class google classroom I encourage you to join. Below I are the class codes, parents you are welcome to join as well. 2020: r5o5jdm 2021: 2fzgtl7 2022: sdsbak7 2023: 7c7hzmj

Notes for Ms. Ravens’ classes: English IV - your new materials for this week have been posted to classroom. I’m hosting two Zoom meetings this week to help you all should you have questions on your annotated bibliography, the first of which will be tomorrow at 10:00 AM. The link and the password are also posted on our classroom. Even if you don’t have questions, feel free to stop in and say hi! English III - I’ve posted new turn in locations on classroom for your journal entries this week. Remember, submitting them electronically is optional for those who would prefer to. You don’t have to worry if you’re doing them on paper! ACT Prep - an overview of your work for the week is posted on classroom; however, you’ll be doing the work through USATestPrep. Let me know if you have any questions, and try to pay attention to the explanation of why you got a question wrong. That’s where you will make your progress! I hope everyone is staying happy and healthy! Take care!

From Mr. Lankford: Good morning seniors, there has been another update to A+ that may make you eligible if you were not previously. This change is in regard to the math requirement. This change is only for the 2020 seniors and does not apply to any other class. The Algebra I EOC requirement is waived for all 2020 high school seniors, including those who have already taken the exam but did not meet the requirement as well as those who have not yet taken the exam. Waiver of this requirement also exempts the 2020 seniors from having to meet the ACT math subscore/high school GPA alternative. Just to recap from my previous post, other changes include: 25 hours of tutoring by the end of this semester. 2.5 Cumulative GPA or higher by the end of this semester or the end of the fall 2019 semester. All other requirements remain the same. Please contact me at clankford@phr6.org if you would like to participate in A+ but did not because you were not eligible due to of one of the requirements listed above.
