Due to several teachers being exposed, the Pleasant Hope ELEMENTARY School Prek-4th Grade will be teaching/ learning virtually starting September 22-25 and September 29th-October 2nd (8 school days). At this time we plan on returning October 6th to seated instruction. Students are bringing home all virtual materials needed today. Your child's classroom teacher will email you with instructions for his/her virtual learning. We are taking a proactive approach and trying to act quickly to stop the spread. Our district, like all others, has a shortage of subs and does not have subs to cover these classes. PHES currently has 2 positive cases, with 9 students and 6 teachers who have been asked to quarantine.
As a reminder, exposure notifications will be distributed each day (and at the completion of the weekends) if there are positive cases within the elementary school moving forward. We want to remind students and parents that we are required to follow the guidelines of the CDC and Polk County Health Departments in regards to isolation and quarantine to help stop the spread of the virus.
