PHES had library outside all week in honor of Earth Day on April 22nd. They heard A Tree Named Steve by Alan Zweibel and had the opportunity read in the fresh air.

PHES would like to invite the parents/guardians of 4th grade students to their promotion ceremony on Tuesday, May 16th at 2:00 P.M. in the gym. Join us as we celebrate the end of one chapter and the beginning of a new chapter in your student's education!


2nd Grade field trip to wonder works was a great success! Students learned a lot about STEM and had a great time doing it!






Third graders shared their United States symbols report presentations with classmates. Each person in a group researched a different symbol and taught the others about it with their presentation.









1st graders in Mrs. Gray's class enjoyed "Lemonade Day" as apart of their count down to the end of 1st Grade! 🍋 They taste tested and surveyed the class, drew a tall glass of lemonade, and used math and science to create lemon volcanoes!! 🌋 #Pirateslovelearning

Mrs Bohnstedt’s 1st Graders have been working hard on writing fairy tales. They each shared their story. They then got to celebrate with a Royal Tea Party.

Tomorrow, May 10th ALL PHR6 students and staff will receive free lunch with MO Beef hamburgers courtesy of the Polk County Cattleman's Association & Missouri Beef Council. Also, thank you to PHR6 PTO, Springfield Grocer, and Hyvee for their donations towards the lunch as well.
