Eighth grade English students held a trial for the protagonist of "The Tell Tale Heart." Students prepared questions for their witnesses, served as lawyers, and reached a jury verdict.

The high school office will be closed Friday afternoon, September 20th from 2:00pm-3:31pm in order to participate in the homecoming parade. Students in Mrs. Lambeth's Social Studies class became archaeologists as they examined "ancient" artifacts. They presented their findings to the class as they practiced analyzing primary sources.
The PHMS basketball teams traveled to Greenwood last night. The boy's B team won. Our other teams fell to Greenwood, but our Pirates fought until the end. The boys play again on Friday at Halfway. Come cheer on our teams!

Mr. Keller's American History and American Government classes did a video/writing activity on "Protecting Free Speech" on September 17 in observance of "U.S. Constitution Day" at Pleasant Hope High School. Students used a "Think, Pair, Share" time to discuss what they learned.
