🎉 What a Week for the Pirate POWER Band! 🎶
If you see a Pirate POWER Band member this weekend, give them a BIG high five! 🙌
These students have shown incredible pride, energy, and teamwork through an action-packed Homecoming week. Here’s what they accomplished:
1️⃣ Kicked off HOCO with performances at the elementary school!
2️⃣ Showed their school spirit by rocking this week’s Spirit Days – huge shoutout to STUCO for organizing!
3️⃣ Welcomed the Marion C. Early Band to join us in the HOCO Parade.
4️⃣ Rehearsed together after school with MCE to prepare for our combined pregame performance.
5️⃣ Performed the National Anthem as one powerful band — that’s 50 students strong! 🇺🇸
6️⃣ Hit the road early this morning to compete at the SBU HOCO Parade, earning:
🥁 3rd Place – Percussion Competition
🏆 1st Place – Class 2A Black Division!
We are so proud of our students and all they’ve achieved this week. 💛💜
If you see a band member, don’t forget — give them a huge HIGH FIVE! 👏

The 2025 home XC meet was a huge success! Everyone had a great time, especially Nolan, who totally crushed his old PR with a 30-second improvement, finishing in 19.55. Makayla had another awesome run. Julian had some discomfort, but he still managed to run well despite the pain.

Our conference meet and our regular invitational meet happens simultaneously every year. Makayla secured the 4th place in the girls’ division. Nolan also performed exceptionally well, finishing in 10th place in the boys’ division. Congratulations to both of them!

PHR6 Families & Community,
The PHR6 Board and I would like to invite all staff, student leaders, families, and community members to join us on Thursday, October 30th from 6:00 p.m. to approximately 7:00 p.m. in the Middle School Library for our bi-annual CSIP (Continuous School Improvement Plan) meeting. WE VALUE AND NEED THE FEEDBACK OF OUR STAFF, STUDENTS, FAMILIES, AND COMMUNITY TO CONTINUE INNOVATION AT PLEASANT HOPE SCHOOLS! Below you will find a listing of the committees. We will start in a large group, work in committees to develop solutions/innovations, and then bring committee ideas back to the whole group. We will be succinct, but productive together! Also, attached you will find a copy of the District's current CSIP plan (this plan is what we will look to improve/update in our individual committees). PHR6 CSIP Committees: 1) Facilities/Maintenance, 2) Athletics/Programs, 3) Academics/Curriculum/Instruction/Technology, 4) Professional Development, 5) Community Partnerships/Career Planning, 6) Finance/Capital Improvements. We know and appreciate the value of your time, but hope that you and your students/families/the community will join us for a meaningful night of collaboration and innovation!
Thank you in advance and sincerely, Mrs. Ingram #LEADLIKEAPIRATE
