
Today, business math students presented their budget projects. Students were given a salary and they had to properly manage their monthly allowance. They had to for buget a housing payment, car payment, monthly groceries, different types of insurances, and any additional bills that might occur.



Congrats to Connor Shuler. He signed today with MidAmerica Nazerene to play basketball for the 24-25 school year.


Pleasant Hope junior Madison Young was named the regional winner of the annual Patriots of the American Revolution Essay Contest. Recognized at a Feb. 17 reception in Bolivar by the Daughters of the American Revolution, she received a medal, award certificate, and scholarship. She now advances to the Missouri State Competition.


Pleasant Hope High School's Pirates History Club competed Feb. 16 at the annual Morrisville History Bowl. Of 36 competing teams, the Pirates Black team placed 7th, followed by the Gold (15th) and White (17th) teams. The Club will compete again Feb. 29 at the SBU History Bowl.

2024 Polk County Football League presents Spring Flag Football!


The PHHS Pirates basketball team and cheerleaders traveled to Sparta to take on the Forsyth Panthers in the first round of the Class 3 District 11 tournament. Forsyth won the game 83-73.





Pleasant Hope Middle School took three 8th grade teams to the annual Marion C. Early History Bowl. There they competed against dozens of area schools. Pleasant Hope took 3rd, 6th, and 9th place. Great job Pirates!



Glad to have Missouri State here today to present college information to interested Juniors & Seniors.



PHHS Spring Parent/Teacher Conferences will be held Monday, March 4th, 2024 from 3:00pm-8:00pm. Dinner Break will be from 4:30-5:00pm. No Conferences will be held during this time.

Third grade received visitors from the Springfield Nature Center today. They helped us with our understandings of how Native Americans used the bison for survival. We also explored the hunting, trapping, and teamwork involved in the Lewis & Clark expedition.

The PHHS Lady Pirates season ended in District play this evening, as they fell to the Sparta Lady Trojans. The Lady Pirates played hard, with heart, and showed positive growth this season!





Algebra 2 students practiced their knowledge of polynomials by creating a Birthday Polynomial poster. Students used the digits of their birthday to generate a graph they could turn into something personal to them. Here are a few examples. My favorite project of the whole year!
