
High school track went to Strafford for a 20 school meet Tuesday night, with very tough competition! Congratulations to Lexi Perryman 3rd place in Javelin and Graci Wolf for 3rd place in 200 meter dash. Next meet is SBU next Tuesday.

Pleasant Hope High School is having their Drunk Driving Docudrama this afternoon in front of the school. Main St will be closed from 1pm-2pm in order for this to take place. The PHMS Literature Bowl Team competed in the Bearcat Book Battle at SBU on Saturday. These dedicated 5th and 6th graders have spent the last year reading and studying 10 books to prepare for this competition. They should be proud of their hard work. In the next few weeks, this new club will have the opportunity to reflect on their competition experiences and make recommendations for next year's book list.




Good afternoon Pirate Nation Families! REMINDER: TOMORROW, PHR6 Schools will be in session on Monday, April 15th for our fourth snow makeup day. Again, PHR6 Schools will be in session on April 15th. --The WEDNESDAY/FRIDAY Preschool classes are scheduled for this makeup day, and PHES will run on a Wednesday schedule.

On April 16th, there will be a Varsity Cheer tryout meeting for any current 8th - 11th graders interested in trying out. The meeting will be held in the High School Commons starting at 5:30 p.m. During this meeting we will talk about the tryout process, season information, the constitution, costs, and calendars.
If you are unable to attend, tryout packets will be available in Coach Rogers' classroom starting April 17th.

High school track was at Ash Grove Friday night. Boys finished 2nd overall and girls finished 3rd overall, with both boys and girls getting lots of medals. Next high school track meet is Tuesday at Strafford.





Congratulations to the Pleasant Hope FFA members who competed at the State FFA Agriscience Fair! They will find their results on stage at State Convention next week!

Don't Forget Elementary Families that our BOGO Book Fair Starts NEXT Week. Students can shop during their library time, computer class times, or 2nd recess if they missed their class time. Families you can shop with your kiddos on Thursday, April 18th from 3:45-5. Come load up for your summer reading!!!


Two big wins for PHMS baseball this afternoon vs. Miller! Game one 3-2 and game two 4-0! Great pitching, fielding, and hitting by the Pirate Nation. Thanks to all the fans for cheering on our boys.





PHMS had our MAP Assembly today. The PHMS Band played and we celebrated past growth and proficient/advanced scores on MAP tests in ELA, Math, and Science. Many students came home with gift cards and Pirate Gear today. Every student has a chance to win something during our testing week of April 22-26. Hoverboards, tents, wireless earbuds, wireless headphones, and wireless speakers will be raffled off for those demonstrating 100% effort, positive attitude, and respectful behaviors during testing. Students and teachers with perfect attendance will be awarded an Ice Cream Sundae Bar the week following testing. Help us have an outstanding MAP week! All our teachers and students have been working hard and showing a lot of growth this year and are very confident PHMS will have great success!


PHMS Morning/Breakfast Study Hall from 7:25-7:50 begins tomorrow for students needing extra time to complete online assignments including iXL. Due to the busy Spring Sports Schedules, the teachers are offering extra time each day for our student athletes and any students needing additonal time with a device to complete work. Please encourage your student to attend these extra sessions if and when needed.


The Middle School Lady Pirates played their hearts out at their softball game against Sarcoxie tonight with the first game score of 4-7 and the second game score of 5-10. Go Pirates!
