Eighth grade English students held a trial for the protagonist of "The Tell Tale Heart." Students prepared questions for their witnesses, served as lawyers, and reached a jury verdict.

The high school office will be closed Friday afternoon, September 20th from 2:00pm-3:31pm in order to participate in the homecoming parade. Any student arrangements need to be done prior to 2:00pm.Please call the district office at 417-267-2850 if you need anything. All students/faculty will be viewing or participating in the parade so please keep this in consideration for Friday afternoon.

Students in Mrs. Lambeth's Social Studies class became archaeologists as they examined "ancient" artifacts. They presented their findings to the class as they practiced analyzing primary sources.






The PHMS basketball teams traveled to Greenwood last night. The boy's B team won. Our other teams fell to Greenwood, but our Pirates fought until the end. The boys play again on Friday at Halfway. Come cheer on our teams!

Varsity Volleyball wins in 5 at Warsaw. Great job!


Mr. Keller's American History and American Government classes did a video/writing activity on "Protecting Free Speech" on September 17 in observance of "U.S. Constitution Day" at Pleasant Hope High School. Students used a "Think, Pair, Share" time to discuss what they learned.


This is homecoming week and we have a lot of great activities ahead! Please plan to participate!


Varsity Volleyball came back from 2 games down to force a 5th game but comes up short, losing to Sparta 3 games to 2. Great effort ladies!
