Red Ribbon Week at PHES. First up is Twin Day!
Red Ribbon Week at PHES. First up is Twin Day!
At the Ranch School, the Mumford classroom has been working toward the daily goal to remain on task, and consequence free both individually and as a class. Each student has a sticker chart and has the opportunity to earn a sticker each day for displaying exemplary positive behavior. Each week, students who have 3 out of 4 days task-free earn a fun, small prize. Negative behaviors have decreased immensely from the beginning of the school year which is, in part, credited to this system! Three out of nine students have received a large monthly prize of choice for remaining task free two months in a row and recently, four out of nine have received the monthly reward! After reaping the benefits of earning these rewards, more students are eager to follow Ranch and classroom rules. Mumford students' learning and productivity has consequently increased, improving grades in the process. Mumford class has also been getting into the fall and Halloween spirit by decorating the classroom as assignments are completed, which includes making their own Jack-O-Lanterns.
