6th Grade has been working on a creating a Landfill Model to end the Human Impacts on the Environment Unit. They had to show and demonstrate their understanding of key concept through their build and the slideshow reflection.

Middle School Volleyball Lady Pirates hosted their first home game of the season tonight against Joel E Barber Middle School! A Team falls in 2 sets (14-25, 13-25) B Team splits, then wins the third set to win their match (22-25, 25-19, 15-9) and C Team wins their set (25-14) they had a great crowd! Go Lady Pirates! 💛🖤🏐

The PHHS mathletes competed in the GOC math contest yesterday at Billings. The Geometry team placed 3rd and Pleasant Hope placed 4th overall.
The PHMS Math Team competed in the GOC Math Competition yesterday in Billings. Congrats to our 7th grade team for earning 2nd place; our 8th grade team for earning 3rd place; and Joanna Dejeu for winning 3rd place in the individual competition! No matter how you do the math, our Pirate Math Team is amazing!!! (Alex, Mason, Finley, Deltyn, Joanna, Ethen, and Melina)

A group of our 5th and 6th graders recently toured the Andy's Frozen Custard Headquarters (Mrs. Cariel Grove led the tour) and Drury University.
Our 5th-8th graders have flag etiquette lessons from the area VFW. We are so blessed to have a community that supports our student learning!

MoDOT's 2025 Youth Transportation Conference
The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) sponsors an annual Youth Transportation Conference (YTC) each summer. Up to 40 students are selected from across the state to attend. The conference is free to students in grades 9-12, with participants staying overnight on the campus of Lincoln University in Jefferson City.
The conference exposes students across Missouri to numerous career opportunities in transportation and engineering. It is packed with fun and exciting academic, career development, and social activities. Students apply STEM-related concepts learned in school to transportation-related problems. The academic curriculum includes sessions on math modeling, applied physics, magnetic levitation, public administration, and safety. Other activities include field trips, office/site tours, and speakers from various divisions within MoDOT and related organizations.
