We were notified this afternoon of a positive COVID-19 exposure within Pleasant Hope Middle School. The positive case is a student at PHMS. Please join us in wishing them a quick and speedy recovery. The student was last on campus and considered contagious on October 22nd. At the direction of the Polk County Health Department, all students and employees who were exposed directly to the individual who tested positive for COVID 19 are being contacted by the Polk County Health Department. Those needing to isolate and self quarantine to help stop the spread have been or will be notified by the Polk County Health Department or the school nursing staff. If you do not receive a phone call about this situation, no action is needed on your part. As a reminder, exposure notifications will be distributed each day and at the completion of the weekends if there are positive cases within the middle school moving forward. We want to remind students and parents that we are required to follow the guidelines of the CDC and Polk County Health Departments in regard to isolation and quarantine to help stop the spread of the virus. We encourage you to continue to do your part to keep everyone safe. We want to keep school moving forward as best we can and do our best to keep our school environment safe.

Middle school football ends their season with a 34-0 loss at Diamond. Pirates end the season 1-5.

Pirate volleyball takes 2nd place in today’s Dig Pink Breast Cancer Awareness Tournament. Congrats to Ash Grove Pirates, 2020 Champs.

Pirate Football falls to Diamond 49-12 on senior night. Congrats to Brendle McDaniel, Cody Mitchell, Preston Carpenter-Ford, and Matthew Burdette for representing our senior class in Football and congrats to Sara Marrufo and Karissa West for representing the senior class on the cheer squad.




Pleasant Hope Volleyball had a good battle with Ash Grove last night falling in 4 sets. 18-25, 18-25, 25-16, 16-25





Sixth grade science students created crystals and made edible soil profiles in our units on minerals and soils.
