High School Basketball Games vs Miller are cancelled for tonight.
These will be made up on Friday, February 19th if possible with a 5pm start.
Niangua games from yesterday have been cancelled permanently.
I wanted to relay the message that I have some teachers that are experiencing the rolling blackouts across Springfield this morning at their homes and will not have access to power and internet. Many have information still posted in their Google Classrooms and want you to proceed with that information but also to know that your teachers may not be available via Zoom or email if their power and internet stay down during the course of your class period.

There will be no school Wednesday, February 17th. The remainder of days will be snow days only. The department of education does not allow more than 5 days of student AMI.
If you are craving some sweets tomorrow try making snow ice cream! Bundle up when you go outside to get your snow! Frostbite can occur within 15 minutes! Ingredients and directions below:
1 cup milk (any kind)
1/3 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 pinch salt
8 cups clean snow or shaved ice (more or less, depending on the density of the snow)
optional topping: sprinkles!
In a large bowl, whisk milk, sugar, vanilla and salt together until combined. Go scoop up some fresh (clean!) snow, and immediately stir it into the milk mixture until you reach your desired consistency. (The ice cream should be fluffy, not runny. But it melts quickly, so dive in quickly.) Top with sprinkles or other ice cream toppings if desired, and enjoy!
School will be out tomorrow, Tuesday, Feb. 16th at Pleasant Hope High School. I encourage students to please follow the schedule below and to be in touch with their teachers through Google Classroom, Email, Zoom video, etc. so that they can gather information for tomorrow as well as last week if you missed any information.

No school tomorrow, 2/16. On Friday all ES students were mailed Day 5 for AMI learning. They should be arriving soon. DESE only allows 5 AMI days. All other days missed past 2/16 will be made up.

Today is Day 4 of our AMI instruction. PHES is mailing out Day 5 of AMI instruction just in case it is needed in the future. An App message will be sent if/ when student need to complete Day 5 of AMI instruction.
No school 2/12 due to slick back roads. PHES will use tomorrow 2/12 as Day 4 of our AMI packet. Please return Day 1, Day 2, Day 3, and Day 4 of the AMI packets when we return. Packets will be graded, used to enter attendance, and returned.
