Athletics Event Changes
The Girls Varsity Volleyball game at Miller on Thursday, September 23rd, has been moved to Wednesday, September 22nd at Miller with a 5:30pm start time.
The Middle School Boys Basketball game at El Dorado Springs on Tuesday, Feb. 8th has been moved to Thursday, February 10th @ El Dorado Springs with a 5:30pm start.

The first day of school is Monday, August 23rd. Students can be dropped off at the middle school starting at 7:25am. The school day will end at 3:36pm.
7th/8th grade parents: Students that have Algebra 1, Agriculture, Spanish or Explore during first hour will need to report to the high school each morning. Car riders can be dropped off at the high school and bus riders will need to get off at the high school in the morning. Breakfast will be available for these students at the high school.

Good evening Pirate Nation! My name is Shaundra Ingram, and I am the Superintendent of the Pleasant Hope School District. The administration and myself would like to welcome students, staff, families, and the community "back to school." Tomorrow, Thursday, August 19th we will be hosting "back to school night" at the elementary and middle school buildings from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. and the high school will host freshman orientation, Chromebook distribution, and open house from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Also, the Polk County Health Center will be located in the old Board room at the high school from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. offering a vaccination clinic for students and families in the Pleasant Hope community. In addition, there will be a meet and greet with school administration and open house tours of the new district office located at 100 West Cowden from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Finally, school will begin on Monday, August 23rd. Please reach out to the district office or your student's specific school building if you have any questions prior to the start of school on Monday. And remember, ALWAYS LEAD LIKE A PIRATE!
Reminder to all incoming Freshman and Parents that Freshman orientation will be 6:30-7:30 on Thursday evening at the high school. If you have not purchased your chromebook lease for the year, please come between 6:00 and 6:30 to get your chromebook before the 6:30 meeting.
We will visit between 6:30 and 6:45pm in the gym and then you can tour the building and meet teachers until 7:30pm.

High school football practice Monday and Tuesday 7:30-10:30 am, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday 3:30-6:00pm.

Middle school football (6th, 7th, and 8th grades) will practice All week 3:30-6:00pm starting Monday. Meet at the boys locker room on the east side of middle school.
Thursday practice will be over at 5:00 for both high school and middle school. Parent meeting from 5:00-5:30 at the field.
Friday 3:00 is picture day, order forms being handed out Monday.

Family Fun Night for the football and cheer teams is this Friday at 6:30pm. Hamburgers and hot dogs will be served at the football field. There will be a quick meeting to learn about the booster club. Stick around after the meeting for fun activities such as a dunk tank, inflatable water slide, tug of war, and water balloon fight. Pleasant Hope High School is open each day this week from 9am to 2pm for students to stop in and get their schedules and locker assignments etc.
We encourage all to stop up and pay their chromebook fees as well this week so we can get that knocked out before school starts.
All Incoming Freshman, we have your chromebook here ready to go this week if you could please stop up and get your chromebook with your $50 usage fee and it will be yours to take home and get prepared for school.

Middle School Athletics will start on Monday, August 16th for all students going into grades 6-8 that would like to participate in Football, Volleyball, or Cross Country. This is a new change this year to allow 6th graders to participate in Middle School Athletics.
