Today Sophomores and Juniors had the opportunity to attend Explore OTC where they toured career center programs that OTC offers to high school students. In addition, a representative from MSU visited the high school to share with Juniors and Seniors important information about admission and scholarship opportunities.
Students in Mr. Keller's American Government and American History classes continued their study of the U.S. Constitution through the months of September and October.
During the annual observance of Constitution Week (Sept. 16-22), students tested their knowledge of the constitutional amendments in a game of Constitution Pictionary. In this activity, students created clues through drawings and skits to help them learn and identify each of the 27 amendments.
In their study of the Constitution, students are learning the rights and responsibilities of citizenship and what it means to be a U.S. citizen.
Since its signing on September 17, 1787, the Constitution has served as the USA's "Law of the Land" for 226 years.
The elementary fire alarm went off today due to a fire alarm system issue. There was NOT a fire. We are working to resolve the issue.

PHHS Homecoming Week is Next Week! Feel free to join us for the homecoming parade at 2:30pm on Friday, Oct. 14. The parade will travel from the high school, past the west side of district office to the elementary school and finishing at the middle school before returning to PHHS.
The following will be held at Pirate Stadium:
Coronation - 6:30pm
Community Flag Football Game - 7:00pm
There will be no charge for the game and concessions will not be offered.
PHHS Homecoming Dance will be held 8:00pm-10:00pm on Friday, Oct. 14 in the high school cafeteria. This is an informal dance. Please dress school appropriate. The tickets are $15 at the door(shirt not included). If you exit the dance, there will be no re-entry.
