Counselor- Secondary

Pleasant Hope Schools is seeking applicants for the position of School Counselor. This position would be a 10 month position for the 2022-23 school year. Duties include counseling services, career scheduling, consultation with colleges and career fields, state testing, etc for the progression of students from Pleasant Hope R-6 School District. Duties also include crisis management on individual and group level as the needs arise with students as well as education in the areas of character building among the student body. Duties also include using the Tyler Student Information System to work with transcripts etc. in record keeping for our school district. ParaProfessional

Pleasant Hope R-IV School District is seeking a Paraprofessional for the 2022-23 school year. This position will include supervision of students in an alternative classroom and also assist in providing small group services to students. Pleasant Hope operates on a four day school week, going to school Tuesday through Friday. Qualified applicants must have 60 college credit hours or a passing score on the paraprofessional assessment. Elementary Classroom Teacher (certified 1st-6th grade)

The Pleasant Hope R-VI School District, located 15 miles north of Springfield and south of Bolivar, is seeking to employ a dynamic and student-focused elementary classroom teacher to join an innovative three-person team with approximately 40 students for the 2022-2023 school year. Pleasant Hope Schools operates on a 4 day weekly calendar(no school on Mondays) for the 2022-2023 school year and will have a contract length of 157 days for certified staff.  Pleasant Hope offers a competitive salary, full health benefits, and a family-like working atmosphere. The Pleasant Hope School District, (Ranch School -- located at the Good Samaritan Boys Ranch), is seeking a special education teacher for emotional behavior support at both primary and secondary levels with approximately 10 students per classroom for the 2021-2022 school year. Pleasant Hope offers a 4-day school week (Tuesday-Friday), competitive salary, full health benefits, and a family-like working atmosphere. The successful candidate will have a valid Missouri teaching certificate, an understanding of the Missouri Learning Standards, a desire to work collaboratively as a team member in a Professional Learning Community, and the ability to effectively integrate technology in the classroom. The candidate needs to possess knowledge, experience and expertise in instruction of students with disabilities, as well as, demonstrate competency and compliance in the special education process. Experience teaching special education students in small group settings focusing on emotional behavioral supports and spectrum disorders is preferred; however, experience is preferred but not required. Additionally, the candidate should have experience implementing behavioral plans designed by the IEP team for students with behavior disorders or other special conditions for the purpose of presenting and reinforcing learning concepts.
