Elementary Classroom Teacher

The Pleasant Hope R-VI School District, located 15 miles north of Springfield and south of Bolivar, is seeking to employ a dynamic and student-focused elementary classroom teacher to join an innovative three-person team with approximately 50 students for the 2020-2021 school year. Pleasant Hope Schools operates on a 4 day weekly calendar(no school on Mondays) for the 2020-2021 school year and will have a contract length of 161 days for certified staff. Pleasant Hope offers a competitive salary, full health benefits, and a family-like working atmosphere. The successful candidate will have a valid Missouri teaching certificate, an understanding of the Missouri Learning Standards, a desire to work collaboratively as a team member in a Professional Learning Community, and the ability to effectively integrate technology in the classroom. Experience is preferred but not required.

Special Education Paraprofessional (5-12)

The Pleasant Hope School District, (located at the Good Samaritan Boys Ranch), is currently seeking a special education paraprofessional for emotional behavior support at both primary and secondary levels with approximately 12 students per classroom for the 2020-2021 school year (4-Day Weeks; Tuesday through Friday). Pleasant Hope offers a competitive salary, full health benefits, and a family-like working atmosphere. The successful candidate will have a valid Missouri substitute teaching certificate, an understanding of the Missouri Learning Standards, a desire to work collaboratively as a team member in a Professional Learning Community, and the ability to effectively integrate technology in the classroom. The candidate needs to possess knowledge, experience and expertise in instruction of students with disabilities, as well as, demonstrate competency and compliance in the special education process. Experience teaching special education students in small group settings focusing on emotional behavioral supports and spectrum disorders is preferred; however, experience is preferred but not required. Additionally, the candidate should have experience implementing behavioral plans designed by the IEP team for students with behavior disorders or other special conditions for the purpose of presenting and reinforcing learning concepts.

SUBSTITUTE TEACHERS

We are accepting applications for substitute teachers for all of our buildings.  The PHR6 School District pays $90 per day and $110 for a long term substitute for one position.  Applicants need to have a current substitute certification from DESE and fill out paperwork available in the district office.
