FOOD SERVICE-COOK

The Pleasant Hope R-VI School District is accepting applications for full–time employment in the Food Service Department. SUPERINTENDENT

Pleasant Hope R-VI Schools is accepting Superintendent applications for the 2021-22 school year. Annual Operating Budget – $8,535,000. Total Tax Levy - $3.8260 ($.5676 Debt Service included) • Assessed Valuation - $50,000,000.00 Reserve Balances – 27%. Administrators – 5. MSIP: Fully Accredited. Computer Lab Instructional Aide

The Pleasant Hope R-VI School District, located 15 miles north of Springfield and south of Bolivar, is seeking to employ a dynamic and student-focused elementary computer lab instructional aide to join our team for the 2020-2021 school year. Pleasant Hope Schools operates on a 4 day weekly calendar (no school on Mondays) for the 2020-2021 school year. Pleasant Hope offers full health benefits, and a family-like working atmosphere. The successful candidate will have a valid Missouri sub certificate, and at least 60 college credits. The candidate must have an understanding of the Google Classroom, Google Drive, computer coding, and a desire to work collaboratively as a team member in a Professional Learning Community, and the ability to effectively integrate technology.

SPECIAL EDUCATION PARAPROFESSIONAL (5-12)

The Pleasant Hope School District, (located at the Good Samaritan Boys Ranch), is currently seeking a special education paraprofessional for emotional behavior support at both primary and secondary levels with approximately 12 students per classroom for the 2020-2021 school year (4-Day Weeks; Tuesday through Friday). Pleasant Hope offers a competitive salary, full health benefits, and a family-like working atmosphere. The successful candidate will have a valid Missouri substitute teaching certificate, an understanding of the Missouri Learning Standards, a desire to work collaboratively as a team member in a Professional Learning Community, and the ability to effectively integrate technology in the classroom. The candidate needs to possess knowledge, experience and expertise in instruction of students with disabilities, as well as, demonstrate competency and compliance in the special education process. Experience teaching special education students in small group settings focusing on emotional behavioral supports and spectrum disorders is preferred; however, experience is preferred but not required. Additionally, the candidate should have experience implementing behavioral plans designed by the IEP team for students with behavior disorders or other special conditions for the purpose of presenting and reinforcing learning concepts.

SUBSTITUTE TEACHERS

We are accepting applications for substitute teachers for all of our buildings.  The PHR6 School District pays $90 per day and $110 for a long term substitute for one position.  Applicants need to have a current substitute certification from DESE and fill out paperwork available in the district office.

Interested in becoming a substitute teacher in Missouri? Don’t have the required 60 hours of college-level credits?

You can now obtain your certification to become a substitute teacher in Missouri through completing Frontline Substitute Teacher Training, as approved by the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. The training consists of approximately 22 hours of content specifically designed for substitute teachers and aligned to Missouri Teaching Standards. Upon completion, you’ll receive a Frontline Certificate of Completion demonstrating your readiness to obtain a Missouri substitute teacher license, but more importantly, you’ll have the confidence of knowing you’re prepared to enter the classroom!
